Vine growing
The grapevine is the main reason why I decided to become an agronomist, evolved from the phytosanitary assistance in the biological field and culminated in the development of specific vineyards and the experimentation of new ways of forms of farming.
Why the grapevine
Because the grapevine is the main reason why I decided to become an agronomist even though lot was being done and a lot of literature was written about the grapevine, in my opinion still we need to do more in order to sustain the viticulture which should be adapted to the climate change without losing the traditions, highlighting the qualitatives results.
My background
My profession as an agronomist in the area of grapevine born and specialized in applied viticulture. The firsts experiences, at the end of the nineties, began as a technician in phytosanitary’s assistance in vineyards by a biological management.
I always believed that biological management not only is one of the most satisfying things, professionally speaking, but also delivered within a huge sense of responsibility through others and the environment.
Working with the most important wine-producing areas both in Italy and worldwide, I acknowledge how fundamental are the qualitative wine-environmental aspects. The process of Combining a biological management of a vineyard and the results of a high quality grapes, cannot prescind from an optimal vineyard’s project. Thanks to the years of experience derived by profession, I was able to move those two elements by projecting specific vineyards and realizing a proper “ Vineyards identity card” for each vineyard.
Since 2010 I have been a member of Studio CEAA which I am right now manager of the agronomical’s area.
